Resources For Rent And Property Rebates – Property Tax/Rent Rebate is a program that helps financially poor Pennsylvanians. Governor Tom Wolf proposed that eligible borrowers receive one-time bonuses. The proposal is intended to make the process easier for those in need. The application is free. However, before you submit your application, ensure you carefully read the eligibility requirements.
Once-off bonus rebate
The governor of Pennsylvania, Tom Wolf, has proposed a one-time bonus rebate for Pennsylvania residents who claim the Property Tax/Rent Rebate program. The proposal is aimed at helping vulnerable residents who are facing financial hardship. In September, the money will be transferred to residents’ bank accounts. The bonus rebate amounts will range from 175 to 455 dollars, depending on income. The rebates will be funded by $140 million in federal ARPA funds.
Pennsylvania taxpayers who were approved for a property tax/rent rebate in 2021 will automatically receive a one-time bonus rebate before the end of the year. The one-time bonus rebate will equal 70% of the original rebate amount. The bonus rebate will be issued in exactly the same way as the original rebate.
Since the application process is automatic, there is no need to fill out any additional forms or submit any additional documents. Your application for the 2021 rebate will be processed automatically by the Department of Revenue. Once your application is approved, the bonus rebate will be deposited to your bank account. It will be paid in exactly the same way as the original rebate.
No cost application

Funding source
The Property Tax/Rent Rebate program is administered by the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency and is intended to help homeowners and developers reduce their property taxes. The program is available for those who are eligible to receive a property rent rebate and who can show proof of eligibility. There are two options for funding: tax credits or rental rebates. Tax credits are awarded to those who pay more than the maximum monthly amount, while rent rebates are granted to those who pay less.
Pennsylvania’s Property Tax Rent Rebate Program has provided more than $7 billion in property tax refunds to older adults and disabled persons in Pennsylvania since it was established in 1962. However, the program is struggling to keep pace with inflation. Pennsylvania legislators have asked the General Assembly for some money from the American Rescue Plan in order to maintain the property rent rebate program.
